Nuvvu laddoo or Ellu Urundai (Sesame Laddoo)
This recipe is from my friend Subha. It is very simple to make and very yummy.
1 cup of sesame seeds(nuvvulu or ellu)
1/4 cup to 1/2 cup of Jaggery(bellam or vellam)
Sesame laddoos can be made by roasting sesame seeds in a dry pan. When they start spluttering turn off the heat and cool. In a grinder, grind sesame seeds and jaggery. Take about 1 tbsp of mixture in the palm of your hand and make balls(laddoos). Yummy ladoos are ready.

Kudumulu / Pidi Kozhukkatai
This recipe is from my friend Subha. As it is steamed, it does not have any ghee or oil. It is healthier than some of the other sweets.
Rice Flour - 1cup
Jaggery - 1cup
salt pinch
Fresh grated coconut - 3 to 4 tsps
Cardamom - 1 crushed
Fry the rice flour in a pan until it starts turning brown. Turn the heat off and cool it.
In a separate pan add jaggery and 2tsp of water and heat until it melts.
Add the roasted rice flour, coconut, cardamom powder, salt and mix.
Make the shapes with the fist. Steam them in idli cooker for about 10 to 12min on medium heat and serve.
